Senior Project Engineer - Infrastructure Development

About the Role

Our client is seeking a seasoned Senior Project Engineer to lead critical infrastructure development projects in Sandton . This role demands a strategic thinker with a proven ability to manage complex projects from conception through to completion, ensuring adherence to scope, budget, and timelines. You will be responsible for coordinating teams, managing risks, and liaising with key stakeholders, including clients, contractors, and regulatory bodies. Key Responsibilities

• Manage the full lifecycle of infrastructure development projects, including planning, design, procurement, and construction.
• Develop detailed project plans, schedules, budgets, and resource allocation strategies.
• Oversee project execution, monitor progress, and implement corrective actions as needed.
• Ensure projects comply with all relevant engineering standards, safety regulations, and environmental requirements.
• Lead and motivate multi-disciplinary project teams, fostering a collaborative and results-oriented environment.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, contractors, and other stakeholders, managing communication and expectations.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related discipline.
• Minimum of 8 years of experience in project engineering and management, preferably in infrastructure development.
• Proven track record of successfully delivering complex projects on time and within budget.
• Strong understanding of contract management, risk assessment, and procurement processes.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Experience with projects in the Sandton area or similar urban environments in Gauteng is highly desirable.
