Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive risk assessments and develop mitigation strategies for identified security vulnerabilities.
• Ensure the organization's compliance with relevant national and international data protection regulations (e.g., POPIA, GDPR).
• Develop, implement, and maintain security policies, standards, and procedures.
• Manage third-party risk assessments and ensure vendor security compliance.
• Lead internal and external security audits, coordinating responses and remediation efforts.
• Stay current with evolving regulatory landscapes and cybersecurity threats, advising on necessary adjustments to policies and controls.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Law, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Minimum of 4 years of experience in cybersecurity risk management and compliance.
• In-depth knowledge of cybersecurity frameworks (NIST, ISO 27001) and regulatory requirements.
• Experience with risk assessment methodologies and tools.
• Strong understanding of data privacy laws and their impact on security practices.
• Excellent analytical, documentation, and communication skills.
