Senior Architect - Urban Design

About the Role

Our client is seeking a visionary Senior Architect with a specialization in Urban Design to lead impactful projects in Johannesburg . Key Responsibilities

• Lead the conceptualization and development of innovative urban design strategies and master plans for diverse projects.

• Prepare and present design proposals, reports, and visualizations to clients and regulatory bodies.
• Oversee the integration of sustainable design principles, including green infrastructure and public space design.
• Mentor junior architectural staff and contribute to the firm's knowledge base in urban planning and design best practices.
• Ensure architectural designs comply with all relevant building codes, zoning regulations, and environmental standards in Johannesburg .

Requirements

• Master's degree in Architecture, Urban Design, or a related field.
• Minimum of 8 years of professional experience in architectural design, with a significant focus on urban planning and design .
• Proficiency in industry-standard design software such as AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp, and Adobe Creative Suite.
• Demonstrated experience in leading complex design projects from concept to completion.
• Strong understanding of South African planning policies and building regulations.
• Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
