About the Role

Our client, a dynamic company operating in Upington , is seeking a detail-oriented Commercial Contract Attorney to manage its extensive range of contractual agreements. This role is vital for supporting the company's commercial operations by ensuring all contracts are meticulously drafted, reviewed, and negotiated to protect the company's interests and facilitate business growth. You will work closely with various departments, providing essential legal expertise on contract terms, liabilities, and compliance within the Northern Cape business landscape. The successful candidate will be adept at managing multiple contracts and ensuring clarity and legal soundness in all agreements.

Key Responsibilities

• Draft, review, and negotiate a variety of commercial contracts, including service level agreements, supply agreements, and partnership agreements.
• Provide legal interpretation and advice on contract terms and potential risks.
• Ensure all contracts comply with relevant South African laws and company policies.
• Maintain a comprehensive contract management system and ensure timely renewals or terminations.
• Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand their contractual needs and objectives.

Requirements

• Admitted Attorney with at least 4 years of experience specializing in commercial contract law.
• Proficiency in drafting, reviewing, and negotiating complex commercial agreements.
• Strong understanding of contract lifecycle management and associated risks.
• Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage a high volume of contracts efficiently.
