About the Role
Our client is seeking a skilled and experienced Aircraft Structures Technician to join their maintenance facility in Stellenbosch . In this hands‑on role, you will be responsible for inspecting, repairing, and modifying the airframe structures of various aircraft types. Adherence to strict safety protocols, technical specifications, and regulatory standards is paramount. Key Responsibilities
- Inspect aircraft structures for damage, corrosion, and fatigue using visual and non‑destructive testing methods.
- Perform repairs and modifications to airframes, wings, and tail sections according to approved technical data.
- Fabricate and install structural components using precision tools and equipment.
- Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and repair schemes.
- Document all repair actions, materials used, and labor hours accurately in the maintenance log.
- Ensure all work performed meets the highest standards of quality and complies with aviation regulations.
Requirements
- Proven experience as an Aircraft Structures Technician or similar role in aviation maintenance.
- Proficiency in working with various materials, including aluminum alloys, composites, and steel.
- Skilled in using precision measuring instruments, sheet metal tools, and welding equipment.
- Ability to read and interpret complex engineering drawings and technical manuals.
- Knowledge of aviation structural repair schemes and relevant regulations.
