Senior Site Manager - Construction Projects

About the Role

Our client is seeking a dedicated Senior Site Manager to oversee diverse construction projects in and around Polokwane . This critical role involves managing all aspects of site operations, ensuring projects are completed efficiently, safely, and to the highest quality standards. You will lead construction teams, coordinate effectively with subcontractors and suppliers, and maintain rigorous control over project schedules and budgets. The ideal candidate is a proactive leader with a strong commitment to safety and a proven ability to navigate the complexities of construction in the Limpopo province.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day site operations, ensuring all construction activities align with project plans and specifications.
• Develop, implement, and monitor detailed project schedules and budgets.
• Ensure strict compliance with all health, safety, and environmental regulations on site.
• Supervise and coordinate the work of subcontractors, suppliers, and site personnel.
• Conduct regular quality control inspections and progress assessments, reporting findings.
• Resolve site-specific issues and challenges promptly to maintain project momentum.

Requirements

• A minimum of 8 years of experience in construction management, with significant site leadership roles.
• Relevant degree or diploma in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
• In-depth knowledge of construction techniques, materials, and South African building regulations, particularly in the Limpopo region.
• Strong leadership and team management skills, with experience mentoring staff.
• Proficiency in using project management software for planning and reporting.
• Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
