Community Manager - Online Arts Platform

About the Role

Our client is seeking an engaging and proactive Community Manager to foster and grow their online community focused on the Arts & Entertainment sector. Based in Mahikeng , this role is central to building vibrant online spaces where artists, enthusiasts, and collaborators can connect, share, and engage. You will be the voice of the platform, responsible for moderating discussions, creating interactive content, and driving user participation. This hybrid role offers a dynamic blend of in-office collaboration and remote flexibility, allowing you to shape the online cultural dialogue within North West .

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement strategies to build, grow, and engage the online community across various platforms (e.g., forums, social media, dedicated platform features).
• Moderate discussions, enforce community guidelines, and ensure a positive and inclusive environment for all members.
• Create and curate engaging content, including posts, discussions, polls, and events, to stimulate interaction.
• Act as a liaison between the community and internal teams, relaying feedback and insights.
• Monitor community sentiment and engagement metrics, providing regular reports and recommendations.
• Identify and engage with key community influencers and advocates.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Community Manager, Social Media Manager, or in a similar role, preferably within the Arts & Entertainment industry.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and moderation skills.
• Demonstrated ability to foster online communities and drive user engagement.
• Strong understanding of social media platforms and online community dynamics.
• Experience with content creation and basic analytics tools.
• A passion for the arts and a proactive, user-centric approach.
