Agricultural Supply Chain Coordinator

About the Role

Our client is seeking a detail-oriented Agricultural Supply Chain Coordinator to manage the flow of agricultural inputs and outputs for their operations near East London, Eastern Cape . This role is critical in ensuring the timely and cost-effective sourcing of raw materials, managing inventory, and coordinating the distribution of finished agricultural products. You will work closely with suppliers, farmers, logistics providers, and internal teams to optimize the entire supply chain. The ideal candidate possesses strong organizational skills, a good understanding of agricultural commodities, and experience in logistics and inventory management.

Key Responsibilities

• Coordinate the procurement of agricultural inputs such as seeds, fertilizers, pesticides, and feed, ensuring quality and timely delivery.
• Manage inventory levels of raw materials and finished goods, implementing efficient stock control measures.
• Liaise with logistics partners to arrange transportation for inbound and outbound shipments of agricultural products.
• Monitor supply chain performance, identify potential disruptions, and implement strategies to mitigate risks.
• Maintain accurate records of inventory, orders, and shipments, utilizing supply chain management software.
• Collaborate with sales and production teams to forecast demand and ensure adequate supply.
• Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and quality standards for agricultural products in the East London area.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in supply chain coordination, logistics, or inventory management, preferably within the agricultural sector.
• Familiarity with agricultural commodities, seasonal demands, and the unique challenges of the agricultural supply chain.
• Proficiency in inventory management software and ERP systems.
• Strong negotiation, communication, and problem-solving skills.
