About the Role

Our client, a leading name in the pharmaceutical industry, is seeking an experienced and meticulous Senior Pharmaceutical Quality Assurance Specialist to join their dynamic team in Midrand . This pivotal role ensures that all pharmaceutical products meet stringent quality standards and comply with regulatory requirements, contributing directly to patient safety and company reputation. You will be instrumental in maintaining and improving the quality management systems, working collaboratively with production, research, and regulatory affairs departments. Key Responsibilities

  • Develop, implement, and maintain quality assurance policies and procedures across all pharmaceutical manufacturing processes.
  • Conduct regular internal audits to ensure compliance with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and other relevant regulations.
  • Review and approve batch records, validation protocols, and change control documents.
  • Investigate deviations, non-conformances, and customer complaints, implementing corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
  • Provide training to personnel on quality standards, GMP, and relevant SOPs.
  • Collaborate with external regulatory bodies during inspections and audits.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Pharmacy, Chemistry, Biology, or a related life science field.
  • A Master's degree is advantageous.
  • Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in Quality Assurance within the pharmaceutical or medical device industry.
  • In-depth knowledge of GMP , regulatory requirements (e.g., SAHPRA), and quality management systems.
  • Proven experience with audit preparation, deviation investigations, and CAPA implementation.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
