Job Description

Red Ember Recruitment is recruiting on behalf of our client, a leading South African logistics organisation, for an experienced and dynamic Corporate Communications Manager to join their team in Kempton Park.

This is a confidential search for a strategic communications professional who can manage the full corporate communications function, strengthen brand reputation, and ensure clear, consistent communication across internal and external audiences.

1. Strategic Communications

  • Develop and implement an integrated corporate communications strategy.
  • Establish clear and consistent corporate messaging across all communication channels.
  • Develop compelling corporate narratives aligned with business objectives.
  • Translate complex business information into clear, accessible communication.

2. External Communications and Public Relations

  • Manage external corporate communications across relevant stakeholder groups.
  • Develop and distribute press releases and corporate announcements.
  • Respond to media enquiries and manage media relationships.
  • Coordinate media training for company spokespersons.
  • Protect and enhance the organisation's corporate reputation.

3. Internal Communications and Employee Engagement

  • Develop and manage internal communication initiatives.
  • Support employee engagement through effective and meaningful communication.
  • Communicate organisational priorities, business updates, and key initiatives.
  • Ensure that employees across the organisation receive relevant and timely information.

4. Brand and Corporate Identity

  • Manage corporate identity and brand communication.
  • Ensure that all communications align with approved brand guidelines.
  • Protect the integrity and consistency of the corporate brand across all touch points.

5. Change and Transformation Communications

  • Support organisational change and transformation initiatives through effective communication.
  • Partner with Organisational Effectiveness and Change, IT, Operations, and project teams.
  • Develop communication plans that help employees understand and adapt to change.
  • Communicate change initiatives in a practical, transparent, and engaging manner.

6. Leadership and Stakeholder Communications

  • Support senior leadership with communication planning and messaging.
  • Enable leaders to communicate effectively with employees and stakeholders.
  • Build strong relationships across all levels of the organisation.
  • Influence and align stakeholders without relying on formal authority.

7. Content Development and Measurement

  • Develop engaging corporate content and storytelling initiatives.
  • Identify opportunities to communicate the organisation's achievements, culture, and values.
  • Monitor communication effectiveness and gather stakeholder feedback.
  • Measure the impact of communication initiatives and identify areas for improvement.

Experience

  • Proven experience in corporate communications.
  • Strong experience in media relations and public relations.
  • Experience managing internal communications and employee engagement initiatives.
  • Demonstrated experience in brand management and corporate identity.
  • Experience working with senior stakeholders and translating business strategy into clear communication.
  • Strong writing, editing, and storytelling skills.
  • Ability to simplify complex information for diverse audiences.
