About the Role

Our client, a leader in the Arts & Entertainment industry, is seeking a dynamic and visionary Lead Video Editor to join their production team based in Centurion, Gauteng . This is a critical on-site role responsible for overseeing the post-production editing process, guiding junior editors, and ensuring the final output meets the highest creative and technical standards. You will be at the forefront of shaping the visual narrative of various content types, working closely with directors and producers to bring creative concepts to life. This position requires a deep understanding of storytelling through visuals and the technical mastery of editing software within a collaborative studio environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the video editing process from ingest to final delivery, ensuring creative vision and technical quality.
• Collaborate with directors and producers to conceptualize and execute the editorial direction for projects.
• Edit raw footage into compelling narratives, adhering to storyboards, scripts, and project requirements.
• Manage and organize project files, assets, and media efficiently.
• Provide constructive feedback and technical guidance to a team of junior video editors.
• Ensure all final edits meet broadcast standards and technical specifications.

Requirements

• Significant experience as a Video Editor , with a proven track record of delivering high-quality content.
• Proficiency in professional video editing software such as Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, or DaVinci Resolve.
• Strong understanding of storytelling, pacing, and visual composition.
• Experience with color grading, motion graphics, and audio mixing for video is essential.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and project management skills .
• A keen eye for detail and the ability to work effectively under pressure in a fast-paced production setting in Centurion .
