About the Role

Our client is seeking a visionary Food & Beverage Director to lead and elevate their culinary and beverage operations in the beautiful coastal city of Durban . This senior leadership position is responsible for the strategic direction, profitability, and overall excellence of all F&B outlets, including restaurants, bars, banqueting, and in-room dining. You will craft innovative menus, manage a significant budget, uphold stringent quality standards, and lead a talented team of chefs, mixologists, and service staff. Key Responsibilities

• Oversee the strategic planning, execution, and financial management of all food and beverage operations.


• Develop and implement innovative menus, beverage programs, and special events to drive revenue and guest satisfaction.


• Manage F&B departmental budgets, forecasting, and cost controls to ensure profitability.


• Lead, mentor, and develop the F&B team, fostering a culture of culinary excellence and exceptional service.


• Ensure compliance with all health, safety, and sanitation regulations, maintaining the highest standards.


• Collaborate with the executive chef and other department heads to ensure a cohesive guest experience.

Requirements

• Extensive experience (7+ years) in senior Food & Beverage management roles within upscale hotels or resorts.


• Proven track record of driving revenue growth and profitability in F&B operations.


• Strong leadership, team-building, and communication skills.


• Expertise in menu engineering, cost control, inventory management, and event planning.


• Culinary or beverage certification is a plus.


• Deep understanding of current F&B trends and operational best practices.
