About the Role

Our client is seeking a dedicated and safety-conscious Commercial Vehicle Driver to join their established transport division in Cape Town . You will be instrumental in ensuring the timely and secure delivery of goods across the Western Cape region. This role requires a professional who understands the importance of logistics efficiency and customer satisfaction. You will operate modern commercial vehicles and work closely with the dispatch team to optimize routes and delivery schedules, becoming a vital link in our client's supply chain network and contributing to their reputation for reliability.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate commercial vehicles safely and efficiently for scheduled deliveries and collections.
• Perform routine checks on vehicles, including tires, brakes, and fluid levels, documenting all findings.
• Load, secure, and unload cargo with care, ensuring product integrity and safety standards are met.
• Navigate routes effectively, utilizing GPS and local knowledge to ensure timely arrivals.
• Maintain detailed records of deliveries, collections, and any incidents or delays encountered.
• Uphold a high standard of customer service during all interactions with clients and the public.

Requirements

• Valid Code 10 (C1) or higher driver's license with a valid PrDP.
• At least 3 years of verifiable experience driving commercial vehicles.
• A commendable driving record free of serious infractions.
• Familiarity with the Cape Town metropolitan area and surrounding regions.
• Physical fitness to handle loading and unloading duties.
• Excellent time management and problem-solving abilities.
