About the Role

Our client is looking for an enthusiastic and diligent Junior Telecom Field Technician to join their growing operations in George . You will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of telecommunications equipment and infrastructure at customer sites and various locations. This role is perfect for someone eager to learn the ins and outs of the telecoms industry , develop practical skills, and contribute to the reliable delivery of services across the region. You will work closely with senior technicians, gaining valuable hands‑on experience in a field-based capacity.

Key Responsibilities

• Install, configure, and test telecommunications hardware and software at customer premises.
• Perform routine maintenance and diagnostic checks on network equipment and cabling.
• Respond to service calls to troubleshoot and repair faults in telecom systems.
• Ensure all installations and repairs adhere to company standards and safety regulations.
• Document service activities, including work performed, parts used, and time spent.
• Assist senior technicians on more complex installations and network upgrades.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent; relevant technical certification is a plus.
• Some experience in a technical or field service role, preferably within telecommunications.
• Basic understanding of telephony systems , data networks, or fiber optics.
• Ability to use hand tools, power tools, and testing equipment safely and effectively.
• Must possess a valid driver's license and a clean driving record.
• Good physical condition to work in various environments and lift moderately heavy equipment.
