Key Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate the daily activities of the maintenance team, including mechanics, electricians, and artisans.
• Develop and implement preventative and corrective maintenance schedules for mining equipment and plant machinery.
• Ensure all maintenance work is performed safely, efficiently, and to high-quality standards.
• Manage spare parts inventory and ensure timely procurement of necessary components.
• Troubleshoot equipment failures and implement effective solutions to minimize downtime.
• Conduct performance reviews, provide training, and foster professional development within the maintenance team.

Requirements

• Trade qualification (e.g., Fitter and Turner, Electrician) or National Diploma in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in maintenance supervision within the mining or heavy industrial sector.
• Proven experience with preventative maintenance programs and CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management Systems).
• Strong understanding of mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems relevant to mining equipment.
• Excellent leadership, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities effectively.
