About the Role
Our client, a non-profit organization dedicated to fostering sustainable community development, is seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Project Officer . This role is central to managing and supporting various community-based projects in the Richards Bay region. You will work closely with community members, local partners, and internal teams to ensure projects are implemented effectively, achieve their objectives, and create lasting positive change. Key Responsibilities
- Support the planning, execution, and monitoring of community development projects.
- Liaise with project beneficiaries and stakeholders to gather feedback and ensure project relevance.
- Assist in the development of project work plans, budgets, and timelines.
- Track project progress, document activities, and prepare regular reports for management.
- Identify and mitigate potential project risks and challenges.
- Facilitate community meetings and workshops related to project activities.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Development Studies, Social Sciences, Project Management, or a related discipline.
- 1-3 years of experience in project support or coordination, preferably within the non-profit sector.
- Strong organizational skills and meticulous attention to detail.
- Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a remote team environment.
