Remote Automotive Performance Engineer

About the Role

Our client is seeking a highly motivated and skilled Remote Automotive Performance Engineer to contribute to the development of high-performance vehicle systems. In this fully remote role, you will be responsible for analyzing, testing, and optimizing engine, chassis, and powertrain performance across various platforms. You will leverage sophisticated simulation tools and real-world data to drive innovation and achieve peak performance metrics. This position requires a deep understanding of vehicle dynamics, thermodynamics, and control systems, coupled with excellent analytical and problem-solving skills to tackle complex engineering challenges from a remote location, fostering a culture of innovation and continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities

• Analyze vehicle performance data from simulations, dynamometer testing, and track events.
• Develop and refine engine calibration strategies to optimize power, efficiency, and emissions.
• Design and implement testing procedures for evaluating chassis dynamics, handling, and stability.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate performance enhancements into vehicle design.
• Identify performance bottlenecks and develop innovative solutions to overcome them.
• Prepare detailed technical reports and present findings to engineering leadership and project teams.

Requirements

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Automotive Engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in automotive performance engineering.
• Strong knowledge of internal combustion engines, powertrain systems, and vehicle dynamics.
• Proficiency with simulation software (e.g., GT-Power, AVL Cruise) and data acquisition systems.
• Experience with calibration tools and techniques for engine control units (ECUs).
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
