Electrical Systems Designer

About the Role

Our client is seeking a creative and proficient Electrical Systems Designer to join their team in Nelspruit . This role focuses on the conceptualization and detailed design of electrical systems for a range of projects, ensuring functionality, efficiency, and compliance with industry standards. You will be responsible for translating project requirements into comprehensive design documents, working collaboratively with engineers and stakeholders to bring innovative solutions to life. Key Responsibilities

• Develop detailed electrical system designs, including schematics, wiring diagrams, single-line diagrams, and control logic.
• Perform load calculations, voltage drop analysis, and other engineering calculations to support design decisions.
• Select appropriate electrical components, equipment, and materials based on project requirements and specifications.
• Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and clients to gather design input and ensure alignment with project goals.
• Prepare Bills of Materials (BOMs) and technical specifications for procurement.
• Ensure designs comply with relevant national and international electrical standards and safety codes.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in electrical system design.
• Proficiency in using electrical CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD Electrical, Revit MEP).
• Solid understanding of power distribution, control systems, and lighting design principles.
• Excellent technical drawing and documentation skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a remote setting, demonstrating strong self-discipline and communication skills.
