Lead BIM Specialist - Architecture

About the Role

Our client is seeking an experienced and forward-thinking Lead BIM Specialist to spearhead their Building Information Modeling (BIM) initiatives within their fully remote architectural practice. You will be responsible for developing and implementing BIM strategies, standards, and workflows across all projects, ensuring consistency and efficiency. This critical role involves leading a team of BIM technicians, providing technical guidance, and fostering a culture of digital excellence. The ideal candidate is passionate about BIM and possesses a deep understanding of its application in modern architectural design and construction, working effectively in a distributed team environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and maintain BIM standards, protocols, and templates for the practice.
• Lead and mentor the BIM team, providing technical support and training on BIM software and workflows.
• Oversee the creation and management of BIM models for complex architectural projects, ensuring data integrity and accuracy.
• Collaborate with project teams to integrate BIM into all project phases, from concept design to facility management.
• Conduct quality control checks on BIM models and documentation to ensure adherence to standards.
• Stay abreast of the latest developments in BIM technology and workflows, recommending and implementing improvements.

Requirements

• Extensive experience in a BIM specialist or management role within an architectural context.
• Demonstrated expertise in Revit and other BIM-related software (e.g., Navisworks, Dynamo).
• Strong understanding of construction processes and the role of BIM throughout the project lifecycle.
• Proven leadership and team management skills, with the ability to inspire and guide a remote team.
• Excellent problem-solving abilities and a commitment to technical excellence.
• Experience in developing and enforcing BIM standards and execution plans.
