Site Engineer

About the Role

Our client is seeking a diligent and proactive Site Engineer to manage and supervise construction activities for various projects in and around Mahikeng . This hands‑on role is critical for ensuring that construction work is carried out according to design specifications, quality standards, and safety regulations. You will be the primary technical point of contact on site, coordinating resources, solving immediate construction challenges, and ensuring project timelines are met within the North West province. The successful candidate will possess excellent problem-solving skills and a strong understanding of construction processes.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise and manage all on-site construction activities, ensuring adherence to project plans and specifications.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations on the construction site.
• Implement quality control measures and conduct site inspections to verify workmanship.
• Manage site resources, including labor, materials, and equipment.
• Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications.
• Liaise with the Project Manager, subcontractors, and consultants to resolve site issues.
• Maintain accurate site records, including daily logs, progress reports, and material requisitions.

Requirements

• BTech or BEng in Civil Engineering.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Site Engineer or in a similar construction role.
• Strong understanding of construction methodologies and site management.
• Proficiency in reading and interpreting engineering drawings and specifications.
• Knowledge of health and safety regulations on construction sites.
• Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
