About the Role
Our client is seeking a passionate and experienced Program Manager to lead their Community Development initiatives in Pretoria. This role is pivotal in designing, implementing, and overseeing projects that aim to uplift and empower local communities. You will work at the intersection of strategy and execution, ensuring that programs are impactful, sustainable, and aligned with our client's mission in the Charity & Voluntary sector. This hybrid position allows for focused project planning and team collaboration at the office, with flexibility for remote work to manage diverse project demands effectively.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee the planning, execution, and evaluation of community development programs.
- Manage project budgets, timelines, and resources to ensure efficient program delivery.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with community stakeholders, local government, and partner organizations.
- Develop strategies to address community needs and identify new project opportunities.
- Monitor program performance, collect data, and prepare reports on progress and impact.
- Lead and mentor a team of program staff and coordinate the efforts of volunteers.
Requirements
- Proven experience in program management , preferably within the non-profit or community development sector.
- Demonstrated success in developing and implementing impactful community projects.
- Strong understanding of community needs assessment and development principles.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Experience managing budgets and grant reporting.
- Ability to balance on-site project coordination with remote administrative tasks.
