Civil Engineer - Project Management (Infrastructure)

About the Role

Our client is actively seeking an experienced Civil Engineer with a strong background in Project Management to oversee diverse infrastructure projects in Nelspruit. This pivotal role requires leadership in planning, executing, and closing out projects, ensuring they are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. You will manage project teams, coordinate with stakeholders, and mitigate risks, playing a key role in the development of vital infrastructure for the region. This is an on-site position critical for effective project oversight and team coordination.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the planning, scheduling, and execution of civil infrastructure projects from inception to completion.


• Manage project budgets, control costs, and oversee resource allocation effectively.


• Ensure strict adherence to safety regulations, quality standards, and environmental compliance throughout project lifecycles.


• Coordinate and communicate with clients, contractors, consultants, and regulatory bodies.


• Identify, assess, and manage project risks and develop mitigation strategies.


• Prepare progress reports, manage project documentation, and conduct project close-out activities.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering.


• Professional Engineer (PrEng) registration is mandatory.


• Minimum of 8 years of experience in civil engineering, with at least 5 years in project management roles.


• Proven track record of successfully managing infrastructure projects.


• Strong knowledge of contract administration, procurement processes, and construction methodologies.


• Excellent leadership, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
