Project Officer - Development Programs

About the Role

Our client is seeking a dynamic and organized Project Officer to manage and support the implementation of various development programs in Polokwane . This role is integral to ensuring that projects are delivered on time, within scope, and meet their intended objectives. You will work closely with program managers, field staff, and community stakeholders to facilitate project activities, monitor progress, and ensure accountability. This hybrid position requires a balance of field engagement and administrative oversight within the Limpopo region.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in the planning, execution, and monitoring of development projects.
• Coordinate project activities, ensuring alignment with project goals and timelines.
• Liaise with partners, beneficiaries, and stakeholders to facilitate project implementation.
• Collect and analyze project data, preparing regular progress reports.
• Support budget management and financial tracking for assigned projects.
• Identify and mitigate project risks and challenges, proposing solutions as needed.

Requirements

• Experience in project coordination or management, preferably within the development or non-profit sector.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite , particularly Excel and Word.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a dynamic environment.
• A degree in a relevant field such as development studies, social sciences, or business administration.
