Contract Manager

About the Role

Our client is seeking a proactive and experienced Contract Manager to oversee their contract lifecycle management processes from their offices in Bloemfontein. This role requires a keen eye for detail and a thorough understanding of contract law and negotiation strategies. You will be responsible for drafting, reviewing, managing, and enforcing contracts to ensure the company's interests are protected and obligations are met. This is a key position within the legal and procurement departments, requiring strong analytical skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with various stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

• Draft, review, and negotiate various types of contracts, including service agreements, supply contracts, and partnership agreements.
• Manage the entire contract lifecycle, from initiation and negotiation to execution and closeout.
• Ensure all contracts comply with company policies, legal requirements, and industry standards.
• Maintain an organized repository of all contracts and related documentation.
• Monitor contract performance and identify potential risks or opportunities for improvement.
• Liaise with internal departments (e.g., Legal, Procurement, Finance) and external parties on contract matters.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Law, Business, or a related field; a legal qualification is advantageous.
• Proven experience of at least 5 years in contract management or a related legal role.
• Strong understanding of contract law and best practices in contract negotiation and administration.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Proficiency in contract management software and standard office applications.
