About the Role

Our client requires a reliable and efficient Dispatch Rider to join their dynamic team in Durban . This role is essential for timely delivery of documents, packages, and other items within the city and surrounding areas. The ideal candidate must be familiar with Durban's road network, possess a valid motorcycle license and demonstrate a strong commitment to punctuality and safe riding practices. You will be the face of our client's delivery service, ensuring professional handling of all items and excellent customer interaction. This is a hands-on position requiring physical capability and a proactive approach to managing delivery routes.

Key Responsibilities

• Pick up and deliver documents, packages, and other items promptly and efficiently to designated locations across Durban .


• Plan and optimize daily delivery routes to ensure maximum efficiency and timely completion of all assigned tasks.


• Maintain the assigned motorcycle in good working condition, performing regular checks and reporting any mechanical issues immediately.


• Ensure the safe and secure handling of all items entrusted for delivery, preventing damage or loss.


• Provide proof of delivery and collect payments or signatures as required by company procedures.


• Adhere strictly to all traffic laws and safety regulations while operating the motorcycle.

Requirements

• A valid Code A motorcycle license and a clear driving record.


• Proven experience as a dispatch rider or in a similar delivery role.


• Excellent knowledge of the Durban metropolitan area and its surrounding routes.


• Physical fitness and the ability to handle the demands of daily riding in various weather conditions.


• Strong sense of responsibility, punctuality, and reliability.


• Good communication skills and a professional attitude when interacting with clients.
