Aircraft Systems Technician

About the Role

Our client is seeking a meticulous and skilled Aircraft Systems Technician to join their dedicated maintenance team based in Cape Town . This role is essential for ensuring the optimal functionality and safety of all aircraft systems. You will be responsible for the installation, inspection, troubleshooting, and repair of a wide array of avionics, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems. The successful candidate will work collaboratively with engineers and other technicians to maintain the fleet's airworthiness, uphold rigorous safety standards, and contribute to efficient operational turnaround times, all within a beautiful coastal city environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Install, inspect, test, and repair various aircraft systems , including avionics, electrical wiring, hydraulics, and pneumatics.
• Troubleshoot system malfunctions using diagnostic equipment and technical documentation.
• Perform routine checks and preventative maintenance on assigned aircraft systems.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant aviation regulations and company maintenance procedures.
• Maintain accurate records of all maintenance actions and parts used in the maintenance management system .
• Collaborate with flight crew and operations staff to resolve system issues impacting flight operations.

Requirements

• Minimum of 3 years of experience as an Aircraft Systems Technician or similar role.
• Demonstrated expertise in troubleshooting and repairing complex aircraft systems.
• Familiarity with aircraft electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic principles.
• Ability to read and interpret technical manuals , schematics, and engineering drawings.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
• Relevant technical certifications or vocational training in aviation maintenance.
