About the Role

Our client requires a highly competent Drilling Operations Manager to oversee all drilling activities in the Tembisa region. This leadership role is critical for ensuring safe, efficient, and cost-effective drilling operations that meet or exceed project objectives and industry standards. You will manage drilling crews, equipment, and logistics, ensuring strict adherence to safety regulations and environmental protocols. Key Responsibilities

• Develop and execute comprehensive drilling plans and programs in accordance with company policies and regulatory requirements.
• Manage and supervise drilling crews, including toolpushers, drillers, and service personnel, ensuring optimal performance and safety.
• Oversee the selection, maintenance, and operation of drilling rigs and associated equipment.
• Monitor drilling progress, analyze operational data, and implement strategies to improve efficiency and reduce non-productive time.
• Ensure strict compliance with all health, safety, and environmental (HSE) regulations and company standards.
• Manage drilling-related contracts, procure necessary materials and services, and control project budgets.

Requirements

• Extensive experience in oil and gas drilling operations, with a minimum of 10 years in supervisory or management roles.
• Proven track record of managing complex drilling projects safely and efficiently.
• Strong knowledge of drilling technologies, equipment, and industry best practices.
• Demonstrated leadership capabilities with excellent team management and communication skills.
• In-depth understanding of HSE regulations and their application in drilling operations.
• Ability to make critical decisions under pressure and resolve operational challenges effectively.
