About the Role

Our client is looking for an experienced and empathetic Remote Social Worker to join their forward-thinking team, serving clients across various regions from a virtual setting. This position is designed for a professional who is passionate about delivering high-quality social services without the need for a physical office presence. You will leverage technology to provide critical support, counseling, and resource navigation to individuals and families requiring assistance, contributing to positive outcomes from anywhere. This role offers the ultimate flexibility, enabling you to manage your caseload and client interactions effectively while maintaining a healthy work-life balance, supporting our mission remotely from George or any approved location.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct virtual social assessments via video conferencing and phone calls.
  • Provide remote counseling and emotional support to clients addressing diverse social issues.
  • Develop and manage caseloads, coordinating services and interventions digitally.
  • Facilitate online referrals to community resources and support services.
  • Maintain detailed and confidential electronic client records and progress reports.
  • Collaborate with virtual team members and external agencies to ensure comprehensive client care.

Requirements

  • Master's degree in Social Work (MSW) or equivalent.
  • Current, valid registration with the relevant professional body (e.g., SACSSP).
  • Minimum of 3 years of professional social work experience, preferably with remote or telehealth components.
  • Proficiency with virtual communication tools, electronic health records, and case management software.
  • Exceptional communication, active listening, and empathy skills adapted for a virtual environment.
  • Ability to work autonomously and manage time effectively in a remote work setting.
