Regional Sports Facility Manager

About the Role

Our client is seeking a results-driven Regional Sports Facility Manager to oversee multiple sports facilities in and around Durban . This role is critical for ensuring the seamless operation, maintenance, and optimal utilization of all assigned venues, driving revenue, and maintaining the highest standards of safety and customer satisfaction. You will be responsible for managing budgets, leading facility teams, and implementing operational strategies that align with the company's goals. Key Responsibilities

• Direct and manage the day-to-day operations of assigned sports facilities, ensuring high standards of cleanliness, safety, and functionality.
• Develop and manage operational budgets, controlling expenditures and maximizing revenue generation through strategic planning.
• Oversee maintenance schedules, preventative care, and capital improvement projects for all facilities.
• Lead, train, and motivate facility staff, fostering a culture of accountability and excellent customer service.
• Ensure compliance with all health, safety, and regulatory requirements for sports venues.
• Implement and refine operational procedures to enhance efficiency and user experience for all patrons.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Facilities Management, Sports Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in sports facility management or a similar operational leadership role.
• Proven experience in budget management, financial planning, and P&L responsibility.
• Strong understanding of facility maintenance, safety protocols, and event management.
• Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to manage diverse teams effectively.
• Excellent problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach to operational challenges.
