Senior UI/UX Designer

About the Role

Our client is seeking a creative and experienced Senior UI/UX Designer to enhance their digital products with intuitive and engaging user experiences, based in Polokwane . This role is crucial for translating complex user needs and business requirements into elegant, user-centered designs. You will lead the design process from concept to execution, creating wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity mockups that define the user journey. The ideal candidate has a strong portfolio showcasing exceptional design skills, a deep understanding of user-centered design principles, and the ability to collaborate effectively with development and product teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the design process for web and mobile applications, from user research and concept development to high-fidelity prototyping and final design assets.
• Create intuitive wireframes, user flows, and interactive prototypes to effectively communicate design ideas.
• Develop visually appealing and user-friendly interfaces, ensuring consistency across all platforms.
• Conduct user research and usability testing to gather feedback and iterate on designs.
• Collaborate closely with product managers and engineers to ensure feasible and high-quality implementation of designs.
• Mentor junior designers and contribute to the evolution of design systems and best practices.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Design, HCI, Psychology, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
• 5+ years of experience in UI/UX design, with a strong portfolio demonstrating successful product designs.
• Proficiency in design and prototyping tools such as Figma , Sketch, Adobe XD, or InVision.
• Deep understanding of user-centered design principles, usability heuristics, and interaction design.
• Experience conducting user research, usability testing, and analyzing feedback.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to articulate design decisions clearly.
