About the Role
Our client is seeking a highly proficient Senior Architectural Technologist to join their established firm in Stellenbosch, Western Cape . This role is critical for translating complex architectural designs into detailed construction documentation, ensuring technical accuracy and feasibility. You will play a key part in project delivery, working closely with architects and engineers to produce comprehensive drawings and specifications. Key Responsibilities
- Develop detailed technical drawings, specifications, and construction documentation using CAD and BIM software .
- Ensure designs comply with all relevant building regulations , standards, and environmental requirements.
- Collaborate closely with architects, engineers, and contractors throughout the project lifecycle.
- Conduct site visits to monitor construction progress and ensure adherence to design intent.
- Provide technical leadership and support to junior technologists and drafting staff.
- Perform quality control checks on all issued architectural documentation.
Requirements
- A degree or diploma in Architectural Technology or a related field.
- Minimum of 7 years of professional experience as an Architectural Technologist.
- Expert proficiency in Revit, AutoCAD , and other BIM applications.
- In-depth knowledge of South African building codes, standards, and construction practices.
- Proven ability to manage technical aspects of multiple building projects simultaneously.
- Strong understanding of sustainable design principles and material applications.
