Telecommunications Infrastructure Manager

About the Role

Our client is seeking a highly experienced and organized Telecommunications Infrastructure Manager to oversee and manage their critical network infrastructure operations in Stellenbosch . This leadership role involves ensuring the reliability, scalability, and security of all telecommunications systems, including fixed-line, mobile, and data networks. You will lead a team of engineers and technicians, manage projects, and develop strategic plans for infrastructure growth and modernization. Key Responsibilities

• Manage the planning, design, deployment, and maintenance of the company's telecommunications infrastructure.
• Lead and mentor a team of network engineers, technicians, and support staff, fostering a culture of performance and accountability.
• Oversee network security initiatives, ensuring compliance with industry standards and best practices.
• Develop and manage the infrastructure budget, including capital expenditure and operational costs.
• Collaborate with vendors, suppliers, and other departments to ensure efficient procurement and implementation of infrastructure solutions.
• Implement robust disaster recovery and business continuity plans for telecommunications services.

Requirements

• Master's degree in Telecommunications Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
• 10+ years of progressive experience in telecommunications infrastructure management.
• Proven experience managing complex network environments, including fiber optics, cellular networks, and data centers.
• Strong understanding of network protocols, security principles, and project management methodologies.
• Demonstrated leadership abilities with experience managing technical teams.
• Excellent strategic planning, budgeting, and vendor management skills.
