About the Role

Our client is seeking an experienced and proactive Logistics Planner to join their team, operating in a fully remote capacity. This role is essential for the strategic planning and execution of inbound and outbound logistics, ensuring the efficient and cost-effective movement of goods. You will be responsible for optimizing transportation routes, selecting appropriate carriers, and managing shipment schedules to meet delivery targets. Key Responsibilities

• Plan and schedule all transportation activities, including freight, fleet management, and third-party logistics providers.
• Optimize routes and load configurations to minimize transportation costs and delivery times.
• Select appropriate carriers based on cost, service, and reliability, and negotiate rates.
• Monitor shipment progress and proactively address any potential delays or disruptions.
• Ensure compliance with all transportation regulations and documentation requirements.
• Collaborate with warehouse teams, suppliers, and customers to coordinate timely deliveries and pickups.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Logistics Planner , Transportation Planner, or similar role.
• Strong understanding of transportation modes, carrier operations, and supply chain dynamics.
• Proficiency in logistics planning software and TMS (Transportation Management Systems).
• Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Strong negotiation and communication abilities to effectively manage carrier relationships.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a remote work environment.
