On-Site Installation Engineer

Our client is seeking a meticulous and hands-on On-Site Installation Engineer to join their growing operations team in Durban . This role is essential for the successful deployment and setup of sophisticated systems and equipment at various client premises. You will be responsible for the complete installation process, ensuring that all components are correctly integrated, configured, and functioning to specification. The ideal candidate possesses strong technical skills, excellent attention to detail, and a commitment to delivering seamless installations that meet client expectations and uphold our client's reputation for quality service.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan and execute the physical installation of equipment and systems according to project plans and technical specifications.
• Perform system configurations, calibrations, and initial testing to ensure optimal performance post-installation.
• Identify and resolve any installation-related issues or discrepancies promptly and efficiently.
• Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and site-specific protocols during installation activities.
• Provide basic training and handover documentation to client representatives upon project completion.
• Maintain clear and consistent communication with project managers and client stakeholders regarding installation progress and timelines.

Requirements

• Demonstrated experience in equipment installation or a related field within Installation & Maintenance .
• Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical drawings, blueprints, and installation manuals.
• Strong understanding of mechanical, electrical, or relevant system components.
• Excellent manual dexterity and ability to work with various tools and equipment.
• A meticulous approach to work, with a strong focus on quality and safety standards.
• Must be willing to travel regularly to project sites within and around Durban , and possess reliable transportation.
