Senior Project Manager - IT Infrastructure

About the Role

Our client is seeking a highly competent Senior Project Manager to oversee critical IT infrastructure projects in Randburg . You will be responsible for the planning, execution, and successful delivery of projects related to network upgrades, system deployments, and data center management. This role requires a blend of technical understanding and strong project management acumen, ensuring seamless integration and optimal performance of IT systems. You will work closely with IT teams, vendors, and business stakeholders to achieve project objectives, contributing to the company's technological advancement and operational resilience.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the planning and execution of complex IT infrastructure projects from initiation to closure.
• Manage project timelines, budgets, and resource allocation for infrastructure initiatives.
• Coordinate with internal IT teams, external vendors, and service providers to ensure project success.
• Identify and manage project risks, issues, and dependencies, implementing effective mitigation strategies.
• Ensure compliance with IT security policies and industry best practices.
• Communicate project status, updates, and key decisions to stakeholders effectively.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field; PMP or ITIL certification is highly advantageous.
• 7+ years of experience in project management , with a specialization in IT infrastructure projects.
• Proven experience managing projects involving network upgrades, cloud migrations, server deployments, or data center management.
• Strong understanding of ITIL, Agile, and Waterfall methodologies.
• Excellent technical project management skills and stakeholder communication abilities.
• Experience working in a hybrid environment is preferred.
