Remote Senior Social Worker - Family Services

About the Role

Our client is searching for an experienced and dedicated Remote Senior Social Worker to lead their Family Services initiatives. In this crucial, fully remote role, you will provide expert guidance, case management, and support to families facing complex challenges. You will leverage your extensive experience to mentor junior staff, develop innovative service strategies, and ensure high-quality care delivery through virtual platforms. This position requires a strong understanding of family dynamics, child welfare, and a commitment to advocating for vulnerable populations, all while operating from a remote setting.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct advanced assessments and develop complex intervention plans for families.
• Provide intensive case management, counseling, and therapeutic support remotely.
• Supervise and mentor junior social workers and case managers in their client interactions.
• Develop and implement new service protocols and best practices for family support.
• Liaise with external agencies, legal entities, and community resources to advocate for clients.
• Manage caseloads, ensuring compliance with all legal, ethical, and agency standards.

Requirements

• Master's degree in Social Work (MSW) or equivalent.
• Minimum of 5-7 years of progressive experience in social work, with a focus on family services.
• Registered with the South African Council for Social Service Professions (SACSSP).
• Proven ability to work independently and manage complex cases remotely.
• Excellent virtual communication, active listening, and negotiation skills.
• Experience in supervision and program development is highly desirable.
