Lead Mechanical Engineer

About the Role

Our client is looking for a highly experienced and visionary Lead Mechanical Engineer to spearhead their advanced engineering initiatives. Operating in a fully remote capacity, you will guide a team of engineers in the conceptualization and development of innovative mechanical solutions. This leadership role requires a strategic mindset, exceptional technical acumen, and the ability to foster a collaborative and productive remote work environment. You will be instrumental in driving the technical direction and ensuring the successful execution of critical projects from design through to implementation, contributing to the company's position at the forefront of innovation.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor a team of mechanical engineers in the design and development of cutting-edge mechanical systems.
• Define and drive the technical strategy for mechanical engineering projects, ensuring alignment with company objectives.
• Oversee the entire design process, from initial concept generation and feasibility studies to detailed design and validation.
• Conduct advanced engineering analyses , including complex simulations and performance modeling, to ensure design robustness.
• Collaborate with product management, R&D, and other engineering disciplines to define product roadmaps and technical requirements.
• Establish and enforce best practices for design, documentation, and quality control within the remote engineering team.

Requirements

• Master's or Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
• 10+ years of progressive experience in mechanical engineering, with at least 3 years in a leadership or senior technical role.
• Deep expertise in CAD software , FEA tools , and various simulation platforms.
• Proven track record of successfully leading complex engineering projects from concept to production in a remote setting.
• Exceptional understanding of mechanical design principles, materials science, and manufacturing technologies.
• Outstanding leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills for effective remote team management.
