Remote Fleet Dispatcher

About the Role

Our client is looking for a highly organized and proactive Remote Fleet Dispatcher to manage their logistics operations from a home-based office. You will be responsible for coordinating drivers, optimizing routes, and ensuring the efficient movement of goods throughout the specified delivery regions, including areas around Richards Bay . This role requires exceptional communication skills, a strong ability to multitask, and proficiency with dispatch and tracking software. You will play a critical role in maintaining service levels, managing unexpected disruptions, and supporting the field operations team to achieve delivery targets effectively and efficiently.

Key Responsibilities

• Coordinate and schedule daily activities for a fleet of drivers, ensuring optimal route planning and delivery efficiency .
• Monitor driver progress and vehicle locations using real-time tracking systems.
• Communicate effectively with drivers, clients, and internal teams via phone, email, and dispatch software.
• Manage and resolve logistical challenges, such as delays, vehicle issues, or customer concerns, promptly.
• Maintain accurate records of dispatch activities, driver performance, and delivery status updates.
• Implement and enforce company policies related to safety, compliance, and customer service.

Requirements

• Proven experience in fleet dispatch , logistics coordination, or a similar operational role.
• Proficiency with dispatch software, GPS tracking systems, and standard office applications.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently in a remote setting and manage time effectively.
• Strong understanding of transportation regulations and best practices in logistics.
