About the Role

Our client is looking for a talented and versatile Freelance Makeup Artist & Beauty Coach to join their team, offering a mix of in-person and virtual client services in Cape Town. This role involves providing expert makeup application for various occasions and coaching clients on beauty techniques to enhance their natural features. You will work closely with clients to understand their needs, whether for special events, professional photoshoots, or personal skill development. This hybrid role allows for flexibility, combining hands-on artistry with the reach of online coaching, contributing to the client's vibrant beauty service offerings in the Western Cape.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform professional makeup applications for events, photoshoots, and personal clients.
• Conduct one-on-one beauty coaching sessions, both in-person and virtually, teaching makeup techniques.
• Advise clients on suitable makeup products, tools, and application methods tailored to their preferences and skin type.
• Develop customized makeup looks and tutorials based on client requests and current beauty trends.
• Manage client bookings, consultations, and provide exceptional customer service throughout the engagement.
• Maintain a clean and organized kit, ensuring all products and tools are up-to-date and hygienic.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a professional Makeup Artist with a diverse portfolio.
• Demonstrated ability to coach and educate individuals on makeup application techniques.
• Strong understanding of color theory, facial anatomy, and various makeup styles.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build rapport with diverse clientele.
• Experience with virtual coaching platforms and tools is a plus.
• A keen eye for detail and a passion for the beauty industry.
