About the Role
Our client is seeking a dedicated and skilled Civil Engineer specializing in infrastructure development to join their dynamic team in East London . You will be responsible for the design, planning, and management of various infrastructure projects, including roads, water systems, and drainage. This role requires a strong technical background, excellent problem-solving abilities, and the capacity to work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams and stakeholders. You will play a key part in shaping the future infrastructure of the Eastern Cape region, ensuring projects are delivered efficiently and sustainably.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and engineer infrastructure projects such as roads, bridges, water supply, and sanitation systems.
- Prepare detailed technical reports, drawings, specifications, and tender documents.
- Conduct feasibility studies and site investigations for new infrastructure projects.
- Manage construction phases, ensuring projects are completed on time, within budget, and to required quality standards.
- Liaise with clients, government agencies, and contractors throughout the project lifecycle.
- Ensure all designs and construction adhere to relevant engineering standards, environmental regulations, and safety protocols.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering.
- Professional registration as a Pr Eng with ECSA is preferred.
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in civil engineering design and project management, with a focus on infrastructure.
- Proficiency in relevant engineering software such as AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and other design tools.
- Strong understanding of project management principles and contract administration.
