Local Route Driver - FMCG Distribution

About the Role

Our client is seeking a dedicated Local Route Driver to join their fast-paced Fast-Moving Consumer Goods (FMCG) distribution team in Mossel Bay. In this role, you will be responsible for the efficient and timely delivery of products to a variety of retail outlets and businesses within the region. This position is crucial for maintaining stock levels and ensuring customer satisfaction for our client's extensive product range. You will operate a dedicated delivery vehicle and work closely with the distribution center to ensure smooth operations in the scenic Western Cape area, requiring excellent navigation and customer service skills.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate a delivery vehicle to transport FMCG products to assigned customer locations.
• Ensure accurate order fulfillment and safe loading/unloading of goods at each stop.
• Collect payments or proof of delivery as required by company policy.
• Maintain a clean and well-organized delivery vehicle.
• Report any delivery discrepancies, damages, or customer issues promptly.
• Follow assigned routes and adhere to delivery schedules while maintaining safety standards.

Requirements

• Valid driver's license (e.g., Code 08 or higher).
• Previous experience in a delivery driver role, preferably within FMCG distribution.
• Good knowledge of the Mossel Bay and surrounding areas.
• Physical capability to lift and move products of various weights.
• Strong customer service orientation and professional conduct.
• Reliability and a commitment to meeting delivery targets.
