Our client, a reputable pharmaceutical manufacturer located in Mossel Bay, is seeking a meticulous Quality Control Analyst to join their laboratory team. In this role, you will perform critical testing on raw materials, in-process samples, and finished products to ensure they meet stringent quality specifications and regulatory standards. Your work directly contributes to the safety and efficacy of the medications produced, upholding the company's commitment to quality. This position requires a strong foundation in analytical chemistry, excellent laboratory skills, and a dedication to maintaining accurate records in a regulated environment.
Key Responsibilities
Perform a variety of analytical tests on raw materials, intermediates, and finished pharmaceutical products using techniques such as HPLC, GC, UV-Vis, and Karl Fischer titration.
Prepare reagents, samples, and standards accurately for testing.
Operate and maintain laboratory equipment, ensuring proper calibration and functioning.
Document all testing procedures, results, and observations meticulously in compliance with GMP guidelines.
Investigate out-of-specification (OOS) results and participate in deviation investigations.
Adhere to all safety protocols and environmental regulations within the laboratory.
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Analytical Chemistry, or a related scientific field.
Minimum of 2 years of experience as a QC Analyst in a pharmaceutical or regulated manufacturing environment.
Proficiency with analytical instrumentation, particularly HPLC and GC, is essential.
Solid understanding of GMP principles and good laboratory practices (GLP).
Excellent attention to detail, accuracy, and record-keeping skills.
Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team in a laboratory setting in Mossel Bay.
