About the Role
Our client is seeking a results-driven and experienced Senior Pharmaceutical Production Manager to lead their manufacturing operations in Tembisa . This critical role involves overseeing the end-to-end production lifecycle, ensuring efficiency, quality, and adherence to all regulatory standards. You will be responsible for managing a team of production staff, optimizing workflows, and driving continuous improvement initiatives within a complex manufacturing environment. This is a fantastic opportunity for a seasoned leader to contribute to the successful delivery of essential pharmaceutical products.
Key Responsibilities
- Direct and manage all aspects of pharmaceutical production, including planning, scheduling, and execution to meet production targets.
- Ensure strict adherence to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and all relevant health, safety, and environmental regulations.
- Lead, mentor, and develop the production team, fostering a culture of performance, safety, and continuous improvement.
- Implement and manage process improvements to enhance efficiency, reduce waste, and improve product quality.
- Oversee budget management for the production department, ensuring cost-effectiveness.
- Collaborate closely with Quality Assurance, Supply Chain, and Engineering departments to ensure seamless operations.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Pharmaceutical Sciences, Chemical Engineering, or a related field. A Master's degree or MBA is preferred.
- Minimum of 7 years of experience in pharmaceutical manufacturing, with at least 3 years in a managerial or supervisory role.
- Extensive knowledge of GMP , regulatory guidelines, and pharmaceutical production technologies.
- Demonstrated leadership abilities with a track record of managing teams and driving operational excellence.
- Strong understanding of production planning, process optimization, and lean manufacturing principles.
- Excellent problem-solving, decision-making, and communication skills.
