About the Role

Our client is seeking a compassionate and skilled Family Support Practitioner to join their team in East London . This hybrid role focuses on providing essential support to families facing various challenges, helping them build resilience and improve their well-being. You will offer guidance, resources, and intervention strategies, working collaboratively with families both in their homes and through remote check-ins and virtual sessions. Your expertise will be instrumental in strengthening family bonds and ensuring a supportive environment for children and adults within the Eastern Cape community.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide in-home and remote support services to families experiencing difficulties.
• Conduct family needs assessments and develop personalized support plans.
• Offer counseling, education, and practical assistance to enhance family functioning.
• Connect families with appropriate community resources and services.
• Facilitate positive communication and conflict resolution within families.
• Maintain accurate and confidential client records and progress reports.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Social Work, Psychology, or a related field.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in family support, child welfare, or a similar role.
• Strong understanding of child development, family dynamics, and psychosocial issues.
• Excellent interpersonal, communication, and active listening skills.
• Proficiency in using virtual communication tools for remote client engagement.
