About the Role

Our client is seeking a meticulous and detail-oriented Aviation Quality Inspector to join their operations based in Durban . This pivotal role ensures that all aircraft maintenance activities, repairs, and modifications comply with stringent aviation regulations, company policies, and manufacturer specifications. You will play a critical role in upholding the safety and airworthiness of the fleet, conducting audits and inspections across various maintenance disciplines. The ideal candidate possesses a strong understanding of aviation quality systems and a commitment to maintaining the highest standards in a demanding operational environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive inspections and audits of aircraft, components, and maintenance processes to ensure regulatory compliance and adherence to standards.
• Review maintenance records, work orders, and technical documentation for accuracy and completeness.
• Investigate and report non-conformities, implementing corrective and preventive actions (CAPA) to address quality issues.
• Ensure all work performed by maintenance personnel meets the required quality standards and specifications.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of aviation regulations, standards, and industry best practices.
• Collaborate with maintenance teams, engineering, and management to promote a strong quality culture throughout the Durban facility.

Requirements

• Proven experience as an Aviation Quality Inspector or in a similar quality assurance role within the aviation industry.
• Deep understanding of aviation regulations (e.g., SACAA, EASA, FAA) and quality management systems (e.g., AS9100).
• Ability to interpret technical manuals, maintenance procedures, and engineering drawings.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with exceptional attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively interact with all levels of staff.
• Relevant certifications or qualifications in aviation maintenance or quality control are essential for this Durban -based role.
