Telecom Operations Manager

About the Role

Our client is seeking an experienced and dynamic Telecom Operations Manager to oversee network operations and service delivery for their operations based in Mossel Bay . This critical role involves managing a team of technical staff, ensuring the smooth and efficient functioning of telecommunications infrastructure, and upholding high standards of service quality. You will be responsible for operational planning, resource allocation, and performance monitoring, playing a key role in maintaining reliable connectivity for customers in the Western Cape . The hybrid model allows for effective team leadership with both on-site presence and remote work flexibility.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead, manage, and mentor a team of network engineers and technicians to achieve operational excellence.
• Oversee the daily operations of the telecom network , including monitoring, incident management, and problem resolution.
• Develop and implement operational procedures and best practices to ensure network reliability and performance.
• Manage budgets, resources, and vendor relationships to optimize operational costs and service delivery.
• Ensure compliance with industry standards, regulatory requirements, and company policies.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives within the operations team to enhance efficiency and service quality.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Telecommunications, Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience in telecom operations management or a related leadership role.
• Proven ability to manage technical teams and complex operational environments.
• Strong understanding of network infrastructure, services, and operational support systems.
• Excellent leadership, communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
• Experience with ITIL or other service management frameworks is a plus.
