About the Role
Our client is seeking a dedicated Electrical Maintenance Engineer to join their industrial operations team in Mahikeng . This on-site role is crucial for ensuring the optimal functioning and longevity of electrical equipment and systems within their facilities. You will be responsible for preventative maintenance, diagnosing and repairing electrical faults, and implementing improvements to enhance system reliability. The ideal candidate possesses a strong practical understanding of electrical systems and a proactive approach to maintenance challenges. You will work closely with the operations and production teams to minimize downtime and ensure safe, efficient operations in Mahikeng .
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute preventative maintenance schedules for all electrical equipment and systems.
- Diagnose and repair electrical faults, ensuring minimal disruption to production operations.
- Inspect electrical systems and equipment for defects, wear, and potential hazards.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, repairs, and equipment status.
- Collaborate with production staff to identify and address electrical-related operational issues.
- Ensure all maintenance activities comply with safety regulations and company policies.
Requirements
- National Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent qualification.
- Proven experience in electrical maintenance, preferably in an industrial or manufacturing setting.
- Strong knowledge of electrical systems, motors, control panels, and power distribution.
- Familiarity with safety procedures and lockout/tagout protocols.
- Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a maintenance team.
