Senior Industrial Engineer - Operations

About the Role

Our client seeks a seasoned Senior Industrial Engineer to lead operational excellence initiatives at their site in Mahikeng . This role demands a strategic thinker capable of analyzing complex operational systems, identifying key areas for improvement, and implementing innovative solutions to enhance efficiency, reduce costs, and improve overall productivity. You will work closely with management and operational teams to drive significant changes and foster a culture of continuous improvement. Key Responsibilities

• Lead the analysis and redesign of manufacturing processes, production lines, and facility layouts.
• Develop and implement strategic plans for operational efficiency improvements, leveraging lean and Six Sigma methodologies.
• Manage complex projects from conception to completion, ensuring they meet scope, budget, and timeline requirements.
• Mentor and guide junior industrial engineers and provide technical expertise to operational staff.
• Utilize advanced data analytics, simulation, and modeling tools to identify and quantify improvement opportunities.
• Drive the adoption of new technologies and best practices to maintain a competitive operational edge in Mahikeng .

Requirements

• Master's degree in Industrial Engineering or a related discipline.
• 6+ years of professional experience in industrial engineering, with a significant portion in a senior or lead role.
• Expertise in lean manufacturing, Six Sigma (Black Belt preferred), and project management.
• Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams and manage large-scale operational improvement projects.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
