About the Role

Our client is looking for a highly organized and strategic Remote Insurance Operations Manager to oversee and optimize daily operations for their national service delivery. This position is fully remote, requiring a candidate who can effectively lead and manage teams virtually, drive operational efficiency, and implement best practices across all functions. You will be instrumental in ensuring seamless service delivery to clients, managing budgets, and enhancing operational performance from your home office. This role is ideal for an experienced operations leader in the insurance industry who thrives in a remote setting and is based in or familiar with the South African market, with a focus on supporting clients across Gauteng and beyond.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage and direct day-to-day insurance operations, ensuring efficiency and effectiveness.
• Develop and implement operational strategies, policies, and procedures to improve service quality and reduce costs.
• Oversee claims processing, policy administration, and customer service functions.
• Manage operational budgets, forecasts, and performance metrics.
• Lead, train, and mentor remote teams to achieve operational excellence and foster a positive work culture.

Requirements

• Minimum of 6 years of experience in operations management, with at least 3 years in the insurance sector.
• Proven experience managing remote teams and distributed operations.
• Strong understanding of insurance business processes and regulatory compliance.

• Proficiency in operational management software and virtual collaboration tools.
