Aquatics Program Coordinator

About the Role

Our client is seeking a motivated and organized Aquatics Program Coordinator to manage and enhance their comprehensive aquatics programs at their flagship facility in Rustenburg . This role is crucial for ensuring the delivery of high-quality swimming lessons, recreational activities, and aquatic fitness classes. You will be responsible for scheduling, staff supervision, program development, and ensuring the safety and enjoyment of all participants, fostering a positive and engaging environment for swimmers of all ages and abilities.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and promote a diverse range of aquatics programs, including swimming lessons, water aerobics, and competitive teams.
• Recruit, train, schedule, and supervise lifeguards, swim instructors, and program staff.
• Ensure strict adherence to all safety regulations, policies, and procedures within the aquatic facilities.
• Manage program budgets, including equipment procurement and supply management.
• Liaise with members and the community to gather feedback and identify opportunities for program improvement.
• Maintain accurate records of participation, staff certifications, and incident reports.

Requirements

• Proven experience in aquatics program management or coordination.
• Current Lifeguarding, CPR, and First Aid certifications required.
• Water Safety Instructor (WSI) certification is highly preferred.
• Strong understanding of aquatic safety standards and risk management.
• Excellent organizational, communication, and leadership skills.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, as needed.
